Rent a private property? What’s the most common issue you’ve encountered during tenancy?

Whether you’re a landlord or a tenant, if you rent a private property issues and disputes can crop up. Some can be prevented whilst others are out of your control – but, in our experience, most can be resolved amicably.

TDS Resolution offers a free independent mediation service to landlords and tenants to help them resolve disagreements or problems. The aim is to help maintain the tenancy so all parties can move forward with a solution that suits all.

We launched the service in July 2020 to help deal with rent arrears that increased during Covid-19. The service proved so popular that, in association with the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA), we extended the service in April 2021 to help with other common issues such as repairs, property standards and threatened evictions.

Here’s where we need your help…

As we develop this service further, we want to make sure we’re designing it around your needs.

Are you experiencing any of these issues right now?

We’re here to help.
